The reason I got involved as PRP in STRATA-FIT project is that the role of patients in research is pivotal in order to improve methodology and give better research outcomes in all phases e.g. in research design, data collection analysis and exploitation to communication.
Another reason it’s important to me is to support researchers in every possible way to discover a cure for D2T RA, ultimately helping those affected by this disease.
I want more people to understand that this project involves creating personalized digital models of patients’ disease progression treatment, treatment responses, and above all health.
It will generally help and improve patient care.
I want to tell patients that it’s fascinating to realize their participation could help not only themselves but also other individuals living with an RMD.
They can contribute to the development of new treatments and therapies, improve patients’ outcomes in research, they can advocate for increase research funding and support, which can help encourage the discovery of new treatments and therapies.
Furthermore it can ensure that care is patient-centered and aimed at achieving better outcomes and an improved quality of life.
