Data extraction in all 6 participating centers is in progress, with the initial harmonized dataset installed on the data node in 5 sites.  Using the harmonized data several operationalization’s of the EULAR D2T-RA definition have been tested and iteratively refined. These initial analyses revealed consistent patterns in the distribution of D2T RA across the sites.

The team will soon decide on a final data-driven definition of D2T RA for further robust predictive analyses and analysis on phenotypes. To obtain deeper insights into D2T RA and its development, in parallel, new data elements are added to the harmonized dataset. Specifically, regarding three main components underlying D2T RA as mentioned in the EULAR PtC, disease activity (expression), treatment use and prescribing patterns, and comorbidity. This will support the next phase of analysis regarding the stratification of D2T RA into actionable phenotypes, and prediction of patients at high risk of D2T RA.  As well as the evaluation of their impact on disease progression of D2T RA. Importantly, the federated analyses have advanced in parallel with the local analysis work on these parameters and planned analyses, ensuring also obtaining integrated and consistency and generalizable results across the EU.


The STRATA-FIT project attended the EULAR PARE Conference 2025, with Patient Research Partners (PRPs) taking center stage in sharing their groundbreaking insights into clinical research.

Bertha, Sladjana, and Sofia proudly represented the project by presenting a compelling poster titled “The power of mutual feedback in clinical research: How patient insight shapes study design”. Their presentation highlighted the critical role of patient perspectives in developing more effective and patient-centered research methodologies.

The presentation underscored STRATA-FIT’s innovative approach to clinical research, showcasing how patient insights can fundamentally reshape study design and improve outcomes for those living with rheumatoid arthritis.
